Music City, as Nashville is known, is country music mecca. The city offers free live music 24/7 at the Honky Tonks on Broadway. You can also find all other music genres in venues around town. Minutes from downtown you’ll find Music Row, the entertainment center of the city. 

That’s not all; you can’t go to Nashville without trying Nashville’s hot chicken, some barbeque, and other southern delicacies! If Honky Tonk central isn’t for you, then how about drinks at one of the city’s rooftop bars, brunch with your best girls, followed by a spa treatment? The history buffs in the group will enjoy a visit to Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, Belle Meade plantation and a little civil rights history as you dine at Woolworth’s on 5^th, a registered historic site for its part in the Civil Rights Movement.

Sedona, Arizona

If you and your girlfriends prefer an outdoorsy getaway, look no further
than Sedona, Arizona. This beautiful town is on the rise as one of the
state’s top tourist destinations and one of the best stops on a
Southwest road trip.

There are tons of great hiking opportunities, including Cathedral Rock,
Airport Mesa, and Devil’s Bridge. Another popular activity is taking a
trip to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, built directly into the city’s
famous red rocks. Popular tours include Pink Jeep Tours that take you
off-roading in the area’s many canyons. You’ll also be within reach for
a day trip to popular destinations like Grand Canyon National Park,
Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon.

Additionally, Sedona is full of great places to partake in delicious

Santa Fe, New Mexico

If you’re looking for the perfect combination of culture and relaxation, Santa Fe is your place. To make it a real girls’ trip, start with a visit to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, where you can admire the work of a true feminist art pioneer. Later on, keep the art theme going with a visit to Canyon Road, a half-mile stretch that features more than 100 galleries, boutiques and restaurants.

Just 10 minutes outside of downtown, you can find your zen at Ten Thousand Waves, a spa inspired by Japan’s mountain hot spring resorts. Reserve a space in the women-only bathing area, featuring outdoor hot tubs based on Japan’s onsen.

While you’re in town, don’t forget to sample plenty of New Mexican cuisine, starting with the legendary Café Pasqual’s. Anything with green chiles is a sure bet, but the enchiladas are a personal favorite. Go early to beat the crowds!

Fredericksburg, Texas

Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country sits the small town of Fredericksburg, TX. Despite its size, this small Texas town is big on charm and a great place for a fun girl’s trip in 2020 or beyond!  

After finding the perfect hotel or bed & breakfast in this cute German town, hit the ground running to check out all of the many things to do in Fredericksburg. TX.  

If you and your girlfriends love wine then you are definitely in the right place. Fredericksburg has quickly grown in popularity the past few years thanks to the wineries in this area. The main road that runs through town, Highway 290, is known as “wine road 290.” You can hop on a Wine Road 290 Shuttle Bus and spend the day tasting wine while still being responsible since they will handle all of the driving for you.

If wine isn’t your thing, don’t worry, there are plenty of other things in Fredericksburg to keep you busy. Go hiking at the beautiful Enchanted Rock State Park or step back in time at the Fredericksburg Pioneer Museum before catching a live performance in the evening at Rockbox Theatre.  Nature lovers will also enjoy visiting Fredericksburg’s Wildseed Farm or the many peach orchards in the area. 

Of course, all girl trips have to have shopping, and there is plenty of shopping to keep you busy in Fredericksburg. Walk up and down Fredericksburg’s Main Street to check out some of the cutest boutiques in Texas. While enjoying this shopping excursion, don’t forget your wine or beer as you can have open containers on Fredericksburg’s Main Street! I mean, what is more fun than spending a day drinking wine and shopping with your friends?

Savanna, Georgia

Riverside, California

Asheville, North Carolina

Nicknamed the “San Francisco of the east,” Asheville, NC is a city that has it all. From its gorgeous mountain landscapes and vibrant arts and culture to its nationally acclaimed food and drink scene, Asheville hits all the marks for a the perfect girls weekend.

Portland, Oregon

I get so excited when anyone comes to visit my beloved town of Portland, Oregon, but especially so when a group of girlfriends come. Portland, lovingly nicknamed PDX, has so much to offer for a girls trip in 2020.

When I do a girls trip, I like to plan something active. That way, we get to talk and catch up while exercising and see something of our destination. Portland has the largest urban park within the United States, so go ahead and hike for a few hours in Forest Park. Then head to the International Rose Test Garden for some of the most stunning views of Mt. Hood from Portland.

Now that you’ve gotten in a good workout, it’s time to relax! Take a yoga class, get a life-changing facial at Kiva, or get a massage at Dosha. (Their location in NW Portland has an epic Hydro Room massage that finishes with an exfoliating treatment and water jets that’s unforgettable.)

To begin your night out, try a champagne tasting flight at Oregon Wines on Broadway. Then head to Darcelle’s, the longest running drag show in the U.S. (Best to buy tickets in advance, as weekend shows almost always sell out.)

When visiting Portland, it’s pretty much a must-do item on your list to eat at the city’s many food carts. If you’re looking for more of a sit-down experience, try the wings at Pok Pok or the Southern comfort food at Screen Door.

I always love to cook a big meal with my friends during any girls trip. To get the freshest, most delicious ingredients, browse the farmer’s market on Saturdays at Portland State. You can’t beat the in-season produce, baked goods and `prepared goodies like ams, chocolate and—my favorite—lemon curd.

Girls Trip 2020 destinations around the world

Reykjavík, Iceland

One of the safest countries in the world, Iceland also has an incredibly diverse range of options to keep everyone entertained, making it a great destination for a girls’ getaway in 2020.

Stay in Reykjavík to combine city life with at least one day trip to see some of the stunning landscape that Iceland is so well known for; the centrally located boutique Sandhotel is a great option.

For a bit of culture, visit the National Museum to learn about Iceland’s past, before wandering up through the Old Quarter and then treating yourselves to a tasting at Omnom Chocolate factory in the Old Harbour. For a relaxed afternoon, explore the quirky independent boutiques along Laugavegur to pick up anything from traditional Icelandic knits to homeware.

There are lots of great places to eat in the city; try Rok Restaurant for a mixture of both Icelandic and international tapas to share among the table, a champagne happy hour and views over the unusual architectural gem that is Hallgrimskirkja church.

For a bit of adventure in style, take a private tour of the Golden Circle to see waterfalls, geysers, black sand beaches and walk in the rift created by the Eurasion and North American tectonic plates in Thingvellir National Park.

Finally, all girls’ trips should include a bit of chill time and where better than the iconic Blue Lagoon for an afternoon of relaxation, complete with in-water massages, face masks and a swim up bar.

Seoul, Korea

Seoul is the perfect destination for a girls’ getaway and you don’t even have to be a K-pop fan to enjoy yourself in the capital of South Korea. Seoul will surprise you with its variety of things to do and see, all without burning a hole in your pocket. 

One place to visit is the 600-year-old Gyeongbokgung. Besides taking in the rich history of the palace, you can don rented hanboks and commemorate the trip by taking wefies with your girlfriends in the beautiful traditional dresses. Entrance is free for people wearing hanboks. 

You can also set aside an entire day for Everland, one of the largest theme parks in Asia. T-Express and Double Rock Spin are among the most thrilling rides there. 

Complete the trip by heading over to Myeong-dong. The fashion capital of Seoul, Myeong-dong, is where you can stock up on highly raved Korean beauty products and snag trendy accessories. Almost every reputable beauty brand can be found there; Innisfree, Laneige, COSRX… you name it, they’ve got it! Express Bus Terminal Underground Shopping Mall, Hongdae, and Common Ground are also great if you’re looking for clothes and other trendy items.

Split, Croatia

If you’re looking for the perfect girls’ getaway destination, Split might be the ideal place for you. Located at a very central location at Croatia’s Dalmatia county, this town is bustling with excitement every hour of the day. 

So what makes Split the perfect destination for a girls’ weekend? One of the best things to do in Split is exploring the old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The whole area of the old town used to be part of the retirement palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian, and other than beautiful historical monuments, the cobbled alleys are home to cool bars, trendy restaurants and unique boutiques. It also has lively foodie and nightlife scenes so it’s the perfect place to go bar hopping and look for live shows. 

Split’s central location makes it the perfect stepping stone to explore the nearby islands, where you should definitely spend time if you’re able. If you’re only here for the weekend, take an island-hopping tour, go kayaking or just relax at Split’s local beaches.

In the end, Split offers the perfect combination of history, culture, beaches, great food and nightlife—which makes it perfect for a girls’ trip.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali is just another great recommendation when it comes to a girl’s trip. And very affordable as well! I bet the first thing you girls want to do after arriving in Bali is going to the spa. Get ready for a real Balinese massage and feel the stress flowing away.

After a relaxing massage in silence, you probably can’t hold it quiet any longer! Head towards one of the many nail boutiques and catch up with each other while your nails get a lovely manicure or pedicure and maybe a new color! 

Bali is, of course, famous for its beaches, so now it’s time to watch the sunset over the waves. Order a cocktail or two, enjoy a delicious dinner and order a sweet desert before you spend the rest of the evening swimming in the pool.

Don’t stay up too late; you’ll want energy tomorrow for shopping! Stroll around the little streets going in and out of the many boutique shops where you can buy unique and tailormade clothing and jewelry. 

If there’s still some time left, take some time to explore the many beautiful sights of Bali. Do a photoshoot in the rice fields or visit a temple for a cultural experience.

Madrid, Spain

Singapore

Singapore is one of the best places to visit with girlfriends for many reasons, which makes it perfect for a girls trip in 2020.

First up: Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world, with a very low crime rate. Female travelers don’t have to worry when visiting Singapore as it safe to walk around even at night.

What’s more, there’s so much you’ll want to do. Singapore has warm weather year round, good food, great shopping and many unique attractions that will make this girls trip one of a kind. Barcelona, Spain

From its amazing beaches to its tasty food, Barcelona is perfect for a girl’s getaway. What makes this location so great is that there’s so many different things to do. If your group of friends is really into outdoor activities, you could head to Montserrat for a day and do a lot of hiking, taking in some insane scenic views. Would you rather hang out on the beach all day? Well, Barcelona has nine, all along the beautiful Mediterranean Sea!

Don’t forget to book your tickets ahead of time because they sell out! A girl’s trip to Barcelona is one vacation you’ll never forget.

Hunter Valley, Australia

If you’re looking for the ultimate girls trip destination, look no further than the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Australia. Around a 90-minute drive from Sydney, the Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest wine region and home to some of the best vineyards in Australia.

Grab the girls and book yourself a group AirBnB or villa, of which there are plenty to choose from, before heading out to the vines. The best way to enjoy the Hunter Valley is to book a tour, and I highly recommend Two Fat Blokes. These laid-back Aussie tour guides will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to more than 5 different wineries, as well as a beer tasting, a cheese tasting and a chocolate tasting. Lunch is also included. If there’s enough of you, you can even book a private tour with these guides, perfect for a hens (bachelorette) or birthday celebration.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from to soak up all that wine for dinner, including at the Hope Estate, which is home to Australia’s largest outdoor concert amphitheater. Time your girls trip to catch one of the many international performers that play at Hope each year, which have included Elton John and Craig David.
