I’m out of town right now and I literally used that trick last night. The bathroom vent also helps even out the noise from the AC/fan going on and off all night!

I too have had toenails digging into my back at midnight! One weird tip we learned the hard way was, like elevators, avoid the stairwells. We once stayed in a hotel where there was an accordion convention happening. Do you know where accordion players like to practice (for the acoustics)? Yep. When hotel quiet hours only run from 10pm to 8am, that can be a problem if you’re trying to keep the kiddos on any kind of schedule.
