It was really interesting to me when you mentioned that it is a good idea to check the accommodations that are available when booking a hotel. With that in mind, looking at the pictures a hotel has on its website could be a good way to learn more about the accommodations. This seems like a good way to know more about what to expect when you get to the hotel.

I actually love going to grocery stores when I travel, and I tend to head for one of the salad bars and fill the tub as much as possible. Another great way to save money is by using food trucks!

Shana, I’m so glad you liked this post! It sounds like you’re already saving a ton of money on food on vacation, and I hope you came away with at least one new idea. In fact I got an idea from you! We’ve never traveled with a hot plate but that’s so smart. We definitely bring our own staples like peanut butter and granola bars. I’m sorry about your son’s celiac diagnosis — that’s so hard. I have to eat gluten free too but I’m sure it’s so much more difficult for a child. Happy travels! And def share other ideas if you come upon them!!!
