Colorado Springs, CO
Want to go on an amazing girl’s trip? If so then visit Colorado Springs, Colorado. It has everything you need for the ultimate getaway with your gal pals.
Start by ascending to new heights at Pikes Peak, otherwise known as America’s Mountain. Feel free to take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway to the top or do an intense, 12.5 mile hike (one way) to the summit of one of the best 14ers near Denver.
Next, do an easy hike along the Palmer Trail at the one and only Garden of the Gods. It’s one of the best hikes in Colorado and is an easy, 4-mile loop hike to all of the area’s most awe-inspiring red rock formations.
Afterward, attend a world-class show at Theatreworks before enjoying the Colorado Springs vibrant nightlife along Tejon Street, between Pikes Peak Avenue and Kiowa Street. Local faves include martinis at Blondie’s, line dancing at Cowboys, and admiring the views, around a roaring fire, from the roof of Gasoline Alley.
If you want, you can also pamper yourself with a selection of premium spa treatments, like massages and facials, at Garden of the Gods Club and Resort before heading out to Seven Falls.
Seven Falls is an awe-inspiring local waterfall that can be reached as you drive through the “Grandest Mile of Scenery” before reaching the base of the waterfall. You’ll then park here and climb 224 steps to get a closer look at this amazing waterfall before embarking on a nice hike through the area. I don’t think you could want anything more from an active girls trip adventure in Colorado.

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, once a haven for spring break partiers, is now a great place for couples, families, and of course, a girls trip. With miles of beaches and warm weather, this US girls trip destination makes a great place to get away with your friends.
Make sure to book Ft. Lauderdale lodging right on the beachfront. Then you will have a picturesque view of the sun rising above the ocean and won’t have to lug your beach gear very far. By staying on the beach you will have numerous bars and restaurants to explore all within walking distance.
Booking.comWhen you get bored relaxing on sandy beaches (is that even possible!) and catching up with your friends, take the free water taxi to bar hop. Or for a luxury boat ride, you can charter a yacht to take you cruising along the Intracoastal waterway. This is a great way to hang out with your girls while viewing amazing scenery and gorgeous mansions.
Even if you don’t like gambling, the new Hard Rock Hotel is a must-see thing to do in Ft. Lauderdale with its new 450-foot glass guitar tower. You can gamble, take in a show, enjoy some spa treatments, or dine in the numerous restaurants. It is only an Uber ride away from the beach.
There are unlimited things to do in south Florida, but if you only have a short time with your besties, these are the top bucket list musts.

Toronto, Canada
Toronto is among the best destinations for a girl’s trip because it is home to friendly people, easy-going vibes, lots of unique attractions, a ton of green space to explore, and a diverse culinary scene.
One of the best things to do in Toronto is to visit the CN Tower. Standing at 553 meters, it dominates the city’s skyline. You can take the elevator up to the main lookout level and enjoy the panoramic city views. It also has a revolving restaurant that offers both incredible food and incredible views.
If you and your friends love shopping, then head right to the Eaton Center. It spans two city blocks, boasts over 250 retail stores, and holds the title of the busiest mall in North America.
Then, be sure to grab a bite at St. Lawrence Market. There are more than 120 local vendors here in this historic market. They sell everything from fresh produce and seafood to baked goods, spices, and specialty items, so there’s something for everyone.
Toronto is also a great winter destination, perfect for a girls trip in the winter. The entire city takes on a new look during this time of year. You can visit Christmas markets, go sledding, skate on one of the many scenic rinks, or explore a snowy ravine. No matter what mix of fun things to do in Toronto, you’ll never forget your trip.

Orlando, Florida
Orlando is just for family vacations, right? Wrong! Seventy-six million people visit Orlando every year, including couples, groups, and besties. Who doesn’t love sunshine, fun resorts with swimming pools and parks packed with rides? That’s why I’m recommending Orlando as an amazing girls trip destination.
The most popular attractions in Orlando include Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and things to do on International Drive*, which runs between the two theme park resorts.
Walt Disney World is split into four parks and two waterparks, so you can literally spend your whole vacation watching the Disney Parade, losing your stomach to the Tower of Terror, traveling around the world at EPCOT and going on a safari.
If your time is limited to a long weekend, dedicate a day to Disney, another to Universal (fierce rides and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter) and dine at Disney Springs or I-Drive. If visiting during the low season, such as January, you can get around the parks a few times a day using dedicated line skips which are worth investing in all year round.
Other activities include tanning by the resort pool, dining on I-Drive, which caters for every style of meal from fine dining (Jack’s Place) to casual cocktails (The Hampton Social), shopping at Disney Springs (Fabletics and MAC), parachuting without a plane at iFly and crazy golf.
Note: The stretch between Walt Disney and Universal Studios is 8 miles, so don’t underestimate the need for transport. Once you’ve decided which activities the girls want to do, choose a hotel resort closest to most attractions and/or make sure the hotel offers bus services to parks or that the Uber cost is affordable. Also, most hotels add a resort fee to the overall price.

Maui, Hawaii Girls Trip Ideas
One of the best places for a girls’ trip in Hawaii is the island of Maui because there are so many memory-making opportunities. You can head up to Haleakala Crater in the middle of the night to see an epic sunrise that some people say is a religious experience.
Or drive the Road to Hana for the ultimate road trip with waterfalls, beaches, and botanical gardens. You can even take a boat ride over to Molokini Crater for incredible snorkeling with sea turtles. And you’ll want to check out the boutiques in the artsy North Shore town of Paia.
Of course, no trip to Hawaii is complete without going to a luau. There are tons of amazing Maui luaus with tropical cocktails and farm-to-table dining. And the performances are super impressive.
Whether you’re looking for outdoorsy adventures (like hiking, kayaking, or ziplining) or want a relaxing beachy vacation, there’s something for everyone. Plus, there are plenty of places to stay in Maui like incredible resorts, boutique hotels, and vacation rental homes. Some even have swim-up bars and private poolside cabanas. Your girls’ trip to Maui will definitely be something to remember for years to come!

Sedona, Arizona
Known as Mother Nature’s Red Rock Country, Sedona will take your breath away with its mind-blowing towering cliffs and sandstone landscapes. A place well known for its healing properties, Sedona can provide a girl’s getaway that has the best of both worlds: outdoor activities and healing rejuvenation.
The hiking trails vary in difficulty, but there are options for everyone. Each hike will take you to impressive panoramas; Devils Bridge is one of the most well-known. If the girls are looking for a thrill, take an off-road jeep tour that will keep you on the edge of your seat, or soar high in the sky for a bird’s eye view of the majestic beauty below. For a calmer adventure, drive the Red Rock Scenic Byway.
If your friends are not feeling as adventurous, there are plenty of ways to relax, too, to help recapture that sense of balance. Sedona is known for its strong energy vortices, located at Airport Mesa, Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, and Boynton Canyon. Take time to enjoy the different energies. Sedona also offers plenty of top-tier spa experiences. After a spa day, enjoy shopping at the boutiques.
A four-day weekend is a perfect minimum amount of time for a girl’s getaway to explore Sedona. You will have the most enjoyable temperatures from March through May.

Los Angeles, CA
Los Angeles is easily one of the best places to go for the ultimate girl’s trip! From great brunch spots, hiking, Disney, and beach days, there are tons to do in the City of Angels!
To start it off, a girl’s trip won’t be complete without taking a hike to the iconic Hollywood Sign on your Los Angeles itinerary. The hike starts by Giffith Observatory, another top place to see in LA. From here, you can enjoy an epic sunset with a view of downtown LA. If you love hiking, you will also want to make sure to add Runyon Canyon to your LA bucket list!
If your girl crew loves all things Disney and Universal, Los Angeles is the perfect place for you. Enjoy a day living your fairytale princess dreams or walking down Diagon Alley at Universal Hollywood!
And of course, every girls’ trip needs at least one brunch, so head over to Melrose where you can find tons of great places like Pink’s Hot Dogs, Blu Jams Cafe, and Catch LA. Furthermore, your girl squad can check out some of the best rooftop bars including Élephante.
Other top things to do with your girlfriends include biking along Venice Boardwalk, enjoying the Santa Monica Boardwalk, and hanging down by the Santa Monica Beach.

Moab, Utah
Are you looking for an excellent girls trip destination? You absolutely must check out Moab, Utah! Most would rather go on a girls vacation to places like New York City or Las Vegas, but Moab is completely underrated. It’s an outdoor lover’s paradise, perfect for those who want to explore the wilderness and go on hikes during their vacation.
There’s so much to do in Moab. The most popular thing to do is visit Arches National Park, one of the most popular national parks in the country. It’s only a short drive from downtown, but try to get there bright and early to avoid the heat. In the park, you can hike to Delicate Arch, Double Arch, the Windows, and even through Park Avenue. There are also easy hikes in Arches too. Don’t forget to do the scenic drive!
Another great place to visit around Moab is Canyonlands National Park, which most people tend to overlook because of Arches. However, Canyonlands is truly a hidden gem in the National Park Service. In Canyonlands, the best place to visit is the Island in the Sky district. There, you can hike to False Kiva or Mesa Arch; two gorgeous spots! On your drive to Canyonlands, you can also pull off at Dead Horse Point State Park.

Virginia Beach, VA
Virginia Beach is a great girls trip destination on the East Coast—and here’s why! There is so much to do within walking distance of the beach, but also lots of space to relax with friends. Virginia Beach has 28 miles of beautiful sandy beaches to explore, lots of great restaurants, and plenty of unique activities.
I recently went on a girls’ trip of all working moms to Virginia Beach and it could not have been better! We stayed in a vacation rental one block from the Boardwalk and Beach. We walked to some great local restaurants and could also order in with lots of delivery options in the area. I especially recommend Commune for brunch with lots of gluten-free options. There are also many great boardwalk hotels to choose from at all different price points from high-end to family-friendly.
Virginia Beach is the largest city in the state and has so much to do beyond the beach. You can rent a surrey bike (the largest fits 8—ideal for a girls trip group) and bike along the 3-mile-long boardwalk, enjoy a boat ride on the Atlantic, check out one of 10 local spas or go hiking in nearby state parks. And if you’re looking for even more great things to do, check out some road trips from DC and Virginia Beach!

Banff, Canada
Whether you are looking for a trip full of outdoor adventures or looking for time to relax, Banff is the ideal place for a girls trip. There’s plenty to do in Banff National Park to fill a weekend or even a week.
To get the most out of a visit to Banff, hit the must-visit places like Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and a hike to Johnston Canyon. While visiting Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, leave some time to take in one of the stunning hikes in the area. From Lake Louise, hike to the Lake Agnes teahouse or the Plain of Six Glaciers teahouse. From Moraine Lake, a hike to Sentinel Pass offers incredible views.
Banff has so many incredibly scenic lakes to visit and it’s worth it to rent a paddle board and get out on the water. On a calm day, Two Jack Lake offers stunning reflections of Mount Rundle. For a more relaxed paddle, try either Johnson Lake or the Vermilion Lakes.
Within the town of Banff, walk the scenic river path for views of the popular Bow Falls and the famous Banff Springs Hotel.
For a more laid back time in Banff, visit one of the many spas for a day of relaxation and hit the Upper Hot Springs. Take a walk along Banff Avenue, coffee in hand, for some shopping and lunch on a patio.
Make sure to leave time in your itinerary for a ride up the Banff Gondola for some of the most incredible views then stick around for an amazing dinner at the Sky Bistro.
For a girls trip, it’s fun for everyone to stay in the same place. The Hidden Ridge Resort in Banff offers condo style properties that are perfect for a girls trip in Banff.

Joshua Tree, California
For the girls who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and have a more peaceful retreat amongst nature, it doesn’t get much better than Joshua Tree, California.
Start off by choosing a zen boho AirBnB or our pick, a luxurious glamping yurt that has a nice hot tub to soak under the tranquil dark sky of Joshua Tree.
During the day, head out on an epic adventure inside Joshua Tree National Park. Our top sites to see are the “teddy bear” cacti at the Cholla Cactus Garden, especially for sunrise or sunset when the cacti needles appear to be glowing. Next, go for a hike in the Wonderland of Rocks to witness endless rows of Joshua Trees surrounded by the huge oddly shaped boulders that you don’t get to see anywhere else.
For a day outside of the park, you cannot miss the experience of Integratron! Be sure to make a reservation for this unique, and relaxing sound bath that everyone will be sure to remember. After you’ve left Integratron on those high vibes, head out to the thrift shops downtown for some great vintage finds. Cap off your evening in Pioneertown to browse through the western shops and finish off at Pappy and Harriet’s for incredible food and even better live music!

Alaska offers plenty of opportunities to explore the breathtaking landscapes, enjoy the rich wildlife, explore stunning hiking trails, and drive the most scenic roads in the United States, and even, in the world!

This national park has plenty of opportunities to go hiking. Within the park, keep an eye out for plentiful wildlife and vast, unspoiled wilderness. Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean Girls Trip Destinations
Let me know if this sounds amazing: You and your besties on the beach, sipping drinks with pineapple garnishes, cooling off in an aquamarine pool… and having the most relaxing vacation together.
Yes? Then these girls trip ideas in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean will be right up your alley.
My travel blogger friends have put together summaries of some of the best girls trip destinations for 2022, and I’m sharing them here. Just don’t forget the sunscreen!
Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Located on Mexico’s Caribbean coast, Playa del Carmen is the perfect destination for a tropical girls getaway. Originally a small fishing village, Playa del Carmen is now a vibrant beach town and one of the most visited tourist destinations in Mexico. With tropical white sand beaches, a lively downtown area, and tons of tours and activities, Playa del Carmen is a fun girls trip destination for a relaxing vacation or adventurous retreat.
The town is centered around Fifth Avenue (“La Quinta Avenida” in Spanish), which is a vibrant pedestrian-only street that spans for more than 20 blocks, and where you’ll find the majority of restaurants, bars, nightlife, and shopping. Fifth Avenue is a great location to be at the center of the town’s nightlife and the many open-air nightclubs offer a fun night out for dancing with girlfriends.
If you’re looking for a true beach break, retreat to one of the many beachfront all-inclusive resorts in Playa del Carmen or the Riviera Maya, where you can spend your days sipping frozen cocktails and margaritas while soaking up the sun at the world-renowned Caribbean beaches.
More adventurous activities in Playa del Carmen include snorkeling, scuba diving, catamaran sails, paddle boarding, ziplining, and numerous adventure parks. With so many unique and unforgettable experiences, Playa del Carmen is one of the top girls trip beach destinations that shouldn’t be missed.

Lake Atitlan, Guatemala
Amidst the heart of the Guatemalan jungle is the enchanting and unspoiled Lake Atitlán. This epic and off-the-beaten-path destination is a Mayan epicenter of lakeside tranquility, distinctive culture and scenic hillside villages. It’s here, upon its turquoise shores, that you’ll find the perfect girls trip destination for 2022!
As Guatemala is still largely considered one of the most budget friendly and up-and-coming travel destinations, you can expect minimal crowds and an authentic Central American experience without paying top dollar prices. With easy and ample access to long lost ruins, brilliant architecture and lush natural beauty, Guatemala won’t stay a hidden gem forever; best to see it while it’s still considered relatively unknown!
Opt to stay in one of Lake Atitlán’s signature eco-lodges featuring fresh and delicious farm-to-table cuisine for a local’s perspective on harvesting food in this remote region, partake in a sunrise yoga workshop overlooking one of the surrounding volcanic peaks, or hop on a lancha (a water taxi) to travel the region like the locals do – by boat! – to one of the neighboring villages and shop ‘til you drop along some of the colorful street vendors and markets.
There’s something here for everyone upon the idyllic shores of Lake Atitlán, and you’re all but guaranteed to depart this serene alcove feeling refreshed after a holistic bonding experience amongst the ladies.

A beautiful island in the Caribbean sea, Antigua is best known for its sandy beaches. In fact, Antigua has 365 beaches, each with something unique to offer, so you could visit a new beach every single day for a year! Could there be a better girls’ trip destination?
If you’re looking for girls trip ideas, here are some top things to do on a girls getaway to Antigua.
Visit any of Antigua’s best beaches and enjoy visiting the bars, swimming in the Caribbean waters, and sunbathing on soft sand. Don’t miss Dickenson Bay, home to the floating Kon Tiki bar where strong rum drinks are the specialty.
Take a trip to Barbuda to explore the frigate bird sanctuary, dine at Robert DeNiro’s Nobu, and walk the beautiful white sands of Princess Diana Beach. If the famous royal liked this beach, it can be a girls’ trip favorite too!
Explore historic Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and take a ferry across the channel for lunch and lounging in the pool at Boom Restaurant.
Snorkelers will love splashing at English Harbour to see the wreck and The Pillars of Hercules.
Another must is a visit to The Donkey Sanctuary, where volunteers tend to at-risk donkeys and other animals, and visitors get to pet and photograph them!

For a laid-back party island feel, hang out in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Swing in hammocks, drink all the drinks you want or snorkel the Blue Hole.
If you’re looking for adventure on a girls’ trip, head inland to the town of San Ignacio. Discover ancient Belize as you swim – and hike – through the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Caves. Or visit the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins to see how the ancient Mayans lived thousands of years ago.
Hike to waterfalls and get epic views of the country by driving south, visiting the Cockscomb Basin Forest Reserve. For another underrated beach spot in this diverse country, visit Placencia for plenty of swimming, snorkeling and water adventures.
For international travelers, fly into the Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City. From there, you can rent a car to head inland or south. If you’re looking to stay at an island, get a transfer to the island and get around on foot or via golf cart.

Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and, in my opinion, the safest country in Central America. These are just a few reasons that make it a great location for a girl’s trip in 2022.
Despite its small size, with its vast landscapes, diverse wildlife, stunning beaches, friendly people, and good food, Cost Rica has something for every taste. There are many areas to consider when vacationing in Costa Rica but Manuel Antonio makes a great destination for a girl’s trip especially if you have a long weekend to explore.
The national park in Manuel Antonio is loaded with beautiful beaches, active wildlife, and stunning sunsets. (Watch out for the naughty monkeys: They love to steal food!)
Manuel Antonio is only a few hours away from San Jose Airport and 4 miles north of the small but lively town of Quepos, where you can plan a fun night out. Stay in a cozy beach bungalow overlooking the beach at Hotel Costa Verde or opt for a luxury experience at Arenas del Mar. There are plenty of pristine beaches to relax at and top-rated full-service spas.
If you are looking for adventure, the Nauyaca Waterfall hike is less than an hour away. Sportfishing, horseback riding, ziplining, and waterfall rappelling are also popular activities in this area.
You will need to rent a car to get there but the beauty, serenity, and excitement of Manuel Antonio will be well worth the few hours spent behind the wheel!

Milos, Greece Girls Trip
The Greek island of Milos is the perfect destination for a girls trip. If you and your friends enjoy off the beaten track destinations and love exploring beautiful nature, this Greek island is for you! Milos is a lesser-known Cycladic island with a lot of charm and plenty of fun things to do!
One of the best places to stay in Milos is the island’s biggest town Adamas. The town has excellent accommodation options, good restaurants and nightlife. Visit the epic Serakiniko Beach with its peculiar landscape resembling the moon. Serakiniko is a beautiful place to take some epic photos and a lovely beach to catch some sun and swim in the turquoise water that reflects the surrounding white rock.
Another fantastic beach to spend a day on is Tsigrado Beach, situated in the southern part of Milos. Getting to the beach is an adventure in its own right because you will need to climb a steep ladder to get to the beach! For chilled sunset drinks and dinner, head to the traditional fishing village of Klima.
An excellent way to explore the island is by hiring an ATV. Milos has lots of dirt tracks, and an ATV is a safe and fun way of going around the island.
The best time to visit Milos is from May to September, but skip July and August if you want to avoid the island’s peak season.

Andalucia, Spain
The region of Andalucia in southern Spain is a great place for a girls trip. For a start, the weather is glorious pretty much all year round, it’s incredibly safe and there is so much to see, from stunning historical cities such as Cordoba, Seville and Granada as well as beautiful beaches. If you prefer to get away from the crowds, Andalucia is also home to some pretty impressive national parks.
The best way to get a flavor of the region is by planning a road trip in Andalucia. Driving in Spain is easy, the roads are well maintained, and rental cars are available from all major cities.
If you’re most interested in beaches, then a great route is from Malaga to Cadiz. Enjoy the beaches in and around Malaga, before heading south, stop off in Marbella (the historical centre is adorable). Keep following the coast down – if you have time, do a day trip into Gibraltar – before hitting Tarifa, which is known for wind sports, and then to Bolonia beach to see the giant sand dunes. Continue along the coast, ending up in the ancient city of Cadiz.
If you prefer UNESCO landmarks, then a great option is to start in Seville and enjoy the Alcazar, Bario Santa Cruz and the Cathedral. From here head towards Cordoba to visit the visually stunning Mezquita, the mosque-cathedral. From here continue on to Granada, where you will find the Alhambra. Ideally, you’ll want to spend a couple of days at each location.
If you have the time, then you can do both of these mini-itineraries as a loop over a couple of weeks.

Budapest, Hungary
Perfectly combining the traditional and the modern, Budapest, Hungary is an ideal European girls’ trip destination. From historical landmarks and fun museums to the cutest cafes and vibrant nightlife, the Hungarian capital will win you over in a heartbeat.
To get to know the city’s past yet also enjoy its best photo spots, head to fairytale-like places like the Vajdahunyad Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion. To unwind, go for brunch at one of the many trendy cafes in Budapest or have a spa day at one of the most famous thermal baths in Europe, the Szechenyi Baths, which are more than 100 years old.
Your Budapest itinerary also has to include a few ruin bars, old and abandoned buildings and spaces turned into the most amazing bars, including the iconic Szimpla Kert, Csendes Létterem, and Mazel Tov. You can also go street art hunting in the Jewish Quarter, visit the colorful Museum of Sweets and Selfies, take in the views from lookout points like Gellért Hill. These girls trip ideas and activities are just the tip of the iceberg.
Embracing seasonality, Budapest hosts countless events throughout the year, and 2022 is when many of them are supposed to make a comeback. If you want to enjoy the trendiest lineups, attend the music Sziget Festival, and if you’re a wine lover, the Budapest Wine Festival might be right up your alley.

Your unforgettable girls trip starts with beautiful beaches and the sunny warm weather to go with it. Plus, you can even pick your style: some beaches are long and sandy, while others are hidden coves with dramatic scenery.
Once you are done with sunbathing and swimming, the island of Mallorca has much more to offer. You can rent a car and enjoy a road trip: impressive mountains, jaw-dropping cliffs, historical sites, inspiring garden… Everyone in the party will find something she loves.
Mallorca highlights, not to be missed, include the hidden beach of Sa Calobra (and its impressive road), the Formentor Cape area, the gorgeous cove of Calo del Moro and the charming coastal town Port de Soller.
And when the evening comes, the island is also famous for its parties, food, and good vibes.

And if you visit this city during the winter months, you will be able to explore its beautiful Christmas markets. At this time of the year, the streets will also be decorated with drop-dead-gorgeous Christmas ornaments.
All in all, Colmar is an enchanting city with plenty of interesting things to see and do. It’s just a one-hour drive from Strasbourg, and the region surrounding the city is stunning.

Black Forest, Germany
If you’re looking for unique girls trip ideas, consider Black Forest, Germany. Not many international girls trips head here, but they’re missing out!
The Black Forest of Germany (called Schwarzwald in German) is a region in the southwest of Germany, in the state of Baden-Württemberg, that is famous for its cakes, cuckoo clocks and spas.
There are many fun things to do in the Black Forest perfect for a girls trip. First of all, because the black forest cake originated here in this region, you can devour endless cakes together. (YUM!) The cherry on the cake is that in Germany, it is a rule that the black forest cake is always to be served with kirschwasser, an alcoholic spirit.
Next, spend a relaxing day for two in the spa town of Baden-Baden, which is a UNESCO world Heritage Site because of its natural thermal spas.
Booking.com(Side note: How did the Black Forest region get its name? The forests of this area have trees so densely packed that the ground underneath them looks almost black, so the term ‘Black Forest’ was coined due to this phenomenon.)
If you’re keen on sightseeing then head over to the famous Triberg waterfalls, which look like something out of a fairytale. Afterwards you can shop for a cuckoo clock and even see the world’s largest cuckoo clock nearby. All in all, there is plenty to do in this region which makes it perfect for a getaway with the girls!

Bologna, Italy
Looking for the best destination for a girls trip in 2022? Head to the foodie capital of Italy: Bologna!
Located in the heart of Italy’s food valley, Emilia Romagna, Bologna is the place to sample the country’s most famous food products like Modena balsamic vinegar, prosciutto de Parma, and Parmigiano Reggiano.
If sipping Sangiovese over an Italian charcuterie board sounds like fun, Bologna will be a blast! Stroll through the Quadrilatero in the center of the city. Just off the main square so you can also see some sights, this is the place to eat and to shop for local products to bring home. Tamborini and Simoni are two of the most famous spots for salumi, but the streets are lined with outdoor restaurants for lunch and dinner.
Mortadella reigns king in Bologna, but all types of salumi are plentiful. Fans of burrata will swoon over the even creamier squaquerone cheese. Try some crostini with mortadella, squaquerone, and chopped pistachio nuts as an apertivo with an Aperol Spritz.
Bologna is also home to its famous namesake meat sauce, Bolognese Ragu. You will see it just called Ragu and it is served with tagliatelle, not spaghetti. Other regional dishes you should not miss are lasagna, tortelloni, rosette, and the local bread tigelle. On this epic foodie girls trip, you and your friends will be incredibly well fed!

Asia and Oceania Girls Trip Destinations
If you’re anything like me, you haven’t seen your friends as much as you’d have liked over the last few years. Zoom calls and Marco Polo are great—but they can’t truly replace quality time together, face to face.
So if you’re ready to invest the time and cash in a big international girls trip, consider these destinations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
When you and your friends are traveling halfway across the world, you’ll want to make the most of your trip. Stay for a week and get to know your destination on a deeper level. Build in time for you and your girlfriends to get used to the time change.
Planning an international girls trip to a far-off location will also require a lot of planning. Aim to pick a date around 6 months from now so you and your friends can plan around it.
Believe me, you and your friends will be talking about this trip until you’re wrinkled and can barely remember your own name.
Seoul, South Korea
Seoul, South Korea is an excellent place to host a girls trip for those who are into luxury and enjoy being pampered. South Korea is the mecca for getting spa treatments, detoxing through acupuncture, facials, skin care products, and even affordable plastic surgery. In addition to the luxury lifestyle trip, there are many photo opportunities within Seoul. Retreats in Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai, Thailand
Thailand is a firm favourite for any type of girls holiday, whether you’re looking for a city break, temple exploration or tropical island getaway. However, although the capital of Bangkok is great as a starting point during your Thailand itinerary, it is somewhat full-on.
If you’re looking for a girls trip that still keeps the buzz of a city but at a more tranquil pace then head up to the north of the country to the ‘sister’ cities, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. The areas surrounding these cities are lush and green with tea plantations and jungle.
Chiang Mai has an eclectic mix of old versus new, with plenty of hipster cafes, restaurants, hotels and independent shops all nestled within the Old City walls and moats. This is also a great hub if you’re interested in trying out some adventure sports with white water rafting and ziplining all in the region.
Chiang Ria is the little sister to Chiang Mai and is surrounded by rugged jungles. It’s also in close proximity to some of Thailand’s more unusual temples, including Wat Rong Khun, “White Temple,” Wat Rong Sua Ten, “Blue Temple,” and quirky Baan Si Dum, “Black House.”
Both of these cities share some great retreats, perfect for a girls holiday. Retreats can be a single day and up to two weeks. The most popular ones are based on spirituality and wellness, with yoga, meditation and mindfulness being the top options.
If you’re more interested in a retreat that focuses on volunteering, then the north of Thailand is also where you can book several day retreats at an ethical elephant sanctuary. If you do opt for this, then do thorough research into the elephant sanctuary. Avoid anything that offers elephant riding, where elephants are chained or the mahout (the keeper responsible for the elephant) uses a hooked stick.
Enjoy Chiang Mai and Chiang Ria, Thailand!

Kruger National Park, South Africa
Kruger National Park, located in South Africa, is a lifetime experience. It’s a great girls trip because you can either do it yourselves (DIY) or get on a tour if you prefer that.
In this South Africa safari experience, you will get to see amazing wild animals in their natural habitat. Forget about zoos, this is the real deal. Here, animals can wander in a massive region away from poachers. This national park makes sure that the population is balanced and helps endangered animals to reproduce in a safe environment.
Before you book anything, research things to know before visiting Kruger National Park to avoid any hassle. For example, you can either rent a car, then drive around on your own. This is great if you and your friends don’t enjoy organized tours. If you prefer to have a local guide, you can book a tour where you will be picked up from your accommodation (unless you are staying inside the park already). The good thing about this is having experienced guides to find and spot elusive animals.
